Picturehouse No More...

Well, I hoped not to have had to write this in the near future but the day has come when I must tell you all that the 23rd of January at The Pickerel in Stowmarket will be the last ever Picturehouse gig. We have decided that the time has come to call it a day and move on to new projects. It has, for me personally, been a fantastic 8 years and I want to thank all those people who have been part of this group since day one. Firstly, much love to Patrick, Nick and Andy T (the current line-up) and thanks for the (too) few gigs we did get to do together. Best of luck to whatever new ventures you get into. Whatever bands you join will be very lucky indeed to get such gifted musicians. Thanks also to Shane, Gibbon, Reado and Andy P for their part in the history of Picturehouse. And finally to Steve C who helped me form the band all those years ago. Cheers mate. I know it’s only a covers band and the world will not stop spinning due to one less pub band in Suffolk but I was immensely proud of what we did and I want to thank all of these friends named above and also to all those people who have supported us over the years (you know who you are). Thanks and bye…for now. Kilbey XXX. PS. Please come and see us for one last time on the 23rd January 2010 at The Pickerel.

Welcome to our new band!

New line-up, new site! Shane has gone off into the sunset to concentrate on his proper band, Songs From the Blue House, and fatherhood (hello Archie!), and Picturehouse have employed a new boy - meet Nick. He's up there on the right. The young looking one. Nick will be sitting down at gigs, but not because he's lazy. He is one of them keyboardists, which will add all sorts of options to the set - some old songs will be making a welcome return, and a whole bunch of newies will be creeping in over the next few shows. Why not come and have a listen? We have a new lease of life, so check out the Dates page and come and say hello to the new Picturehouse.
